Japan

In Japanese, Kokoro means spirit, heart, or mind of man and nature. This tour will emphasize capturing the essence of Kokoro in your photographs. Participants will visit exotic historical locations, gorgeous Japanese gardens, and remote villages where you can photograph the traditional Japanese way of life. Visiting nature locations that few foreign visitors see, you can photograph moss-covered woods and bamboo trees, tranquil waters and flowing streams.

While the main goal of the workshop is to take culturally unique photographs of Japan, the workshop will also pay special attention to providing a cross-cultural experience by participating in elements of the Japanese life-style such as sipping green tea at traditional tea houses, eating at typical Japanese restaurants, visiting shrines and temples, and going to a hot spring.

This tour is led by famous Japanese photographer Hirotaka Kusaga, whose command of English exceeds that of most Americans.

The tour begins and ends in Tokyo.
